I think the biggest shift I’ve lived has been the shift into understanding happiness is natural and experiencing it on the regular.
Realizing that I can feel great WHILE moving towards what I want.
Learning and understanding that happiness IS the path.
That happiness is natural and can be my normal.
Acknowledging that happiness and achievement go together.
I was so conditioned to experience anxiety that I thought this was how you were supposed to feel when moving into something new.
Anxiety is fear created by beliefs you hold.
It’s not productive, helpful or a sign of anything besides beliefs that are not in line with who you really are and want to be.
Anxiety is not necessary and does not need to be permanent.
I was so used to feelings of deprivation from years of dieting, I thought you had to feel deprived to experience weight loss and health and honestly other things too (like in relationships).
Deprivation does not need a place on your path.
You were meant to live happily, healthily and fulfilled…do you really think deprivation would be the way to that?
It makes no sense because it’s not.
I was so used to stress driving me in work that I thought I needed it to do well.
Not a thing.
If I wasn’t stressed, it almost felt like a red flag.
Stress is also fear…it’s not necessary, productive, helpful or something that you need or that should be a permanent fixture.
Stress is not what drives you to do more or be better in work and it isn’t the result of specific job paths.
Feeling stressed is a fear response.
When I realized that I could and should feel good, great, amazing, wonderful…on the way to everything I want, everything becomes fun.
Things I don’t like and don’t want are crystal clear now because I don’t have beliefs that claim feeling bad is how you get to feeling good.
You can and should feel good on your way to whatever it is you want.
Will you still experience negative emotion?
Of course…but it becomes brief, sporadic, and you can feel the message it carries more clearly because you’ve been feeling so good.
So you don’t fear it and you move through it.
Happiness is the path.
Happiness is natural.
Feeling calm and certain can be your normal.
The quality of your life really is the quality of where you live emotionally.
So if you want to change your life, change your EMOTIONS.
If you want to change your emotions, change your BELIEFS.
You can feel good on your way to everything and anything you want.
Happiness is where it’s at.
