How To Be Successful and Fulfilled

When people think about success they rarely equate it with emotion, however, without the emotional component success always seems like a pipe dream.  How you feel determines how you view yourself, the world, life, and every experience you ever have. How you feel determines what action you take, what goals you set, who you surround yourself with, how you treat others and yourself. Everything you ever decide that you want is for the feeling you think it will bring you. Emotion is what we are all after all the time. People always want to know what action to take, what do I do, where do I go, what is the process, but what you don’t realize is that is all wasted effort if you don’t handle the emotional component, which is really a result of your personal psychology. You can achieve anything you want, but if you don’t achieve the emotional response you’re looking for, you’re unfulfilled.

What if just for a little while you ignored the outside world and worked on your inner world. What if you could make it your job to feel good for the next day, the next week, the next 30 days…and so on. What if that one act is the answer to everything you have been attempting to create in your life? What if that is what is missing? Would you give it a try?

Here are some thought patterns I have discovered that will serve you well in your ongoing work towards feeling really, really good and, as a result, achieving everything you have ever wanted. These thoughts, if found at the basis of your thinking, will help you be the free, happy, successful and expansive creator that you are.

  1. Do what you enjoy doing but don’t be afraid of work. You’re going to have to do work, make peace with that. Nothing you really want is going to come without focused work.
  2. You are free to choose what you spend your time thinking about, as your thoughts create your personal reality. Choose wisely. Do not waste your time thinking about what does not matter or what has nothing to do with you. What you focus on expands so be sure you focus on what you want in life, not what you don’t.
  3. Share what you know with those who show an interest and stop trying to explain yourself or anything else to those who don’t care or don’t want to see things differently. Stop wasting your time, there are plenty of people who are ready to hear you.
  4. Enjoy what you already have. If all you did was look for things to appreciate you would change your life and live happily ever after. Become someone who can always find something to appreciate.
  5. Build up your reserves. Save money and spend less than you earn no matter what that number is. If you spend less than you earn you can immediately begin feeling a higher level of certainty which will begin affecting other areas of your life.
  6. Master your response to people and life. You cannot control other people, but you can control your response to them. You do not have to react with negative emotion to anyone or anything. Master yourself.
  7. Appreciate people and drop the expectations. It is easy to be someone who expects things from other people, but it is rare to be someone who appreciates others for who they already are. If you want to have high expectations, have them for yourself.
  8. Add as much value as possible. Be someone who adds value everywhere you go and in everything you do.
  9. Let the quality of your emotions trump all else. Shitty emotions = a shitty quality of life. Great emotions=great quality of life. Dominate your emotions.
  10. When you see problems in the world, it’s a clue to work on yourself. All change begins with you.
  11. Take the path of least resistance towards what you want. This means allow the path to unfold. The way may be different than you thought it should be, so open yourself up to new possibilities when it comes to the how.
  12. Know what you want and why you want it. Sit down and write out what you want in every area of your life. Do not go through life without any idea where you’re going, what you want or why you want things. Get clear, get certain, get a plan.
  13. Be more of yourself. Stop trying to be like everyone else. Know who you are and spend the rest of your life being that person. Create yourself. Consciously decide who you are and who you aspire to be and be that person.
  14. Tell the truth to yourself and express only that. Start being honest with yourself and the world. Stop hiding. Stop holding everything in because you fear the reactions you might get. Just tell the truth and do it for YOU. Nothing brings more relief than being honest with yourself.
  15. You can have, be or do anything. I mean anything! If you don’t believe something is possible for you, you’re wrong. You can have, be or do anything! Seriously! Just refer to #1.
