To Have What You Want, You Need to Become It

happiness is the path

Who do you need to become in order to live the life you want? This question alone can start to move you in the direction you want to go. You see the best part of wanting new things, experiences or relationships is who you have to become in order to allow the improvement you are seeking. This is what is meant by the joy is in the journey.

When you ask for something, no matter what it is, it is always a done deal. What keeps people from experiencing what they have asked for is that they don’t change their thinking. You see, people all think very differently. People in great relationships think differently regarding their partner than someone in a relationship that has no real passion or meaning. People tell different stories about their partner which creates an emotion and is responsible for the actions people do or do not take. Think about it. If you have asked for an improved relationship but you are still telling stories about what the other person is doing wrong, how do you expect a different result? People who have a lot of money speak and feel very differently regarding money than those who have very little. This is the difference and only this. It is your BELIEFS regarding subjects of importance to you and only beliefs.

This goes for any subject in your life. Once you ask for something it is done, but you have to get out of your own way. This means focusing upon how you feel in order to decipher whether you are focused upon what you want or what you do not want. This means you have to stop complaining, justifying, tolerating, making excuses, blaming, rationalizing, and a whole host of other behaviors that block you from experiencing improvement in your life.

Think about this,  once you have asked for something or decide you want something new it is a done deal . But since your thoughts create your reality, you have to think like you ALREADY have it. You have to feel like you already have it. You have to behave like you already have it. Pick out something you really want and then look for someone who has already achieved it. Lets use weight loss as an example. How do fit people talk about weight? How do fit people talk about food and exercise? What actions do fit people take? Would you say fit people think, feel and behave differently regarding weight and health than un-fit people? If you want something different than what you have been living, you have to be willing to think, feel and behave differently than you have been.

The best possible path towards what you want will reveal itself to you, but first be willing to allow the improvement. In other words, be willing to feel better and think better.

Dana
