How do you feel about change? What do you believe about change?

Can you change?  Can others change? Is it okay to change? Is it the design of the universe to change?

Answers: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

When we talk about resistance or negative emotion, often we are referring to resistance to who you have become. When you feel negative emotion you are believing something that is not true, even if at one time it was.

So resistance to where you are NOW is at the heart of negative emotion. How does it feel to hear that? This could mean beliefs you have about yourself, others, the world…anything really. Resistance or negative emotion is letting you know that the story you are believing is no longer true for YOU. That does not mean it wasn’t once true or that it is not true for someone. It means for YOU and what you now WANT, that story is keeping you from moving forward to it. You have expanded and you are not going. You have changed and you are not allowing yourself the benefits of the change. You understand things differently and you feel guilty because others haven’t figured it out. You asked for an improved condition and yet you won’t tell a story that allows the improvement. Whatever it is, know that resistance to change is at its core.

So lets talk about change.

Change is easy. It is the most natural thing. It is happening all the time. It is fun. It is wonderful. It allows you to grow. Change allows you to become the person you want to be regardless of any past condition. Embracing change will dramatically improve your level of joy.

You’re allowed to change your mind about what you want in a career, in a relationship, about where you live, who you spend time with, what your interests are, and the list goes on and on and on. You are allowed to make new decisions as often as you would like. Sometimes those new decisions alter (a.k.a. change) the current people and conditions already around you and sometimes those current people and conditions move out and new ones move in.

Instead of focusing on what should stay and what should go, allow yourself to feel the improvements you desire. At an emotional level you can shift immediately. It is then that you can begin allowing yourself to receive the inspiration to make changes in your outer world and you will know exactly what that means for you.

The most important thing to realize is that improvements are possible, happening, certain.  It is through your thoughts and desires that these improvements are being summoned and it is only up to you to allow the changes.

You have been asking for improvements through your thoughts and words. You have desired changes and when you ask it is given. So line up with what you want. Meaning…feel the improvements, stop telling the old stories, focus on what you want, and allow the desired changes to happen.

Sometimes we associate change with negative. If anything can change into a more positive or desirable place, the same must be true for moving into a less desireable or more negative space. Obviously, whatever you focus on is the direction it will go. If you have been focusing on the changes you believe to be less than desirable it is time to change your perspective regarding change. Make a list of 10 positive changes you have made in your life. This will help you see the benefit of change and open your mind up to its importance.
