Tell the story of your life as you WANT it to be.

 

It is time to write your life story as you WANT it, not necessarily how it is or has been.

Many people have a hard time “lying” about their lives. Meaning, most people want to focus on what is, so they never create anything new. They feel uncomfortable talking about what they want instead of what has been or is. They allow other people to choose their identity for them. When someone says you can’t do that, you aren’t smart enough, you aren’t that type, who do you think you are, you’re selfish for caring about yourself above others…we listen. If you want to be successful, you have to see things as you want them, not just as they are (and that includes you and your personal identity). You have to create yourself consciously and deliberately.

Every thought you have is creating the life you live. When you think a thought enough, it becomes a belief. These beliefs become the basis by which you live your life. Everyone has different beliefs and so they live very different lives.

What goes wrong most often is that people allow another’s perception of reality and experiences and beliefs to mess with their own thoughts and desires. Just because something is “true” for someone else does not mean it has to be for you. However, your focus or attention to their story begins to create the same belief within you until it becomes your reality. This is why we believe so much is hereditary or genetic. It isn’t. It is just that the beliefs are passed down from one person to the next. People spend too much time watching the news or other popular t.v. shows or on social media and those stories that get the most air time simply gain momentum and size in mass consciousness because of the attention being placed on them.

If you shift your focus onto something else, now that new thing begins to expand in your life.

 

So it is really about choosing to be DELIBERATE with what you focus on. It honestly does not matter where you focus. Whatever you choose will expand in YOUR life. You can choose stories that feel bad or stories that feel good. You can choose beliefs that serve you or those that do not. You are so free that you can choose happiness or pain.

You can live your life by default; allowing your beliefs and therefore your mood to be chosen by outside circumstances and conditions. Or…you can wake up and deliberately choose thoughts that FEEL good. You decide to choose your mood and ultimately the trajectory of your life.

You must allow your own inner self to be louder than others. You have to consciously decide to feel the answers to your questions instead of thinking your way or asking others to decide for you. You have to be willing to allow beliefs you have had for a while dissipate. Some beliefs you hold are not true or helpful.

Write your own life story.

 

Take out a piece of paper. Write out what you want in your life. Get crazy. Write out everything; your health, your relationships, your work, where you go, what you do, where you live, what you live in, how much money is in your bank account, where and what do you give, how do you feel? In other words, write your life story. Read it until you feel it. Keep doing this every day until it feels so natural that the next logical step is the story itself.
