Tracking and Accountability

standards

I love tracking.

If you aren’t looking at what you’re doing, taking an assessment, putting it up against your goals and making the tweaks…you can easily feel like you’re flailing.

When you track, you can see exactly what you’re doing and how it’s working.

You know where the problems are coming from.

You know what decisions to make.

Tracking expenses, spending, savings, earnings, food, workouts, schedules (work, kids, dates, friends), what your days look like, what your self-care regimens look like, chores, leisure time, trips…

Some people think that’s a way to feel like a prisoner, shackled.

I see it as freedom.

Everything doesn’t have to be tracked to the last detail, but without regular TLC and accountability, is it flourishing?

If you’re just swaying in the wind it’s hard to feel focused and know what to do.

Plans, schedules, tracking, assessments, goals with steps…

They work.

And they work VERY well.

Is there an area that needs to be tracked? Scheduled? Tended to? Is there a lot?

Without a plan, it’s easy to fail. It’s easy to avoid it. It’s easy to tell yourself it just isn’t working.

But with a plan, with accountability, with steps…

You know exactly what to do and you can save your energy for things you want to instead of questioning, worrying, wondering, and doubting.
