Do You Yearn To Be Understood or To Understand?
Do you feel like you need to understand other people’s perspectives? Do you spend time trying to understand others or trying to get them to understand you?
All of that is a waste of effort.
You Only Need To Understand Yourself
What if the only perspective you needed to truly understand was that of your own inner self? Wouldn’t that be freeing? You wouldn’t have to explain, try and rationalize, justify, stand on your head to get people to see who you are, not who they perceive you as. You could stop trying to figure other people and their motives out. You could let go of the identities people have assigned to you and stop trying to identify who others are. You would be free to be you…and they would be free to be them.
Most people perceive others through their own emotions and beliefs and therefore make judgments that are a reflection of where THEY are and what THEY believe. Did you hear that? It has nothing to do with you…at all. What people see in you is a direct reflection of themselves, not of you.
If you’re perceiving others in a negative light, that says a lot about your current emotion not about them. If they perceive you in a certain way, that says a lot about them, not necessarily about you. (This is why two happy, connected people can live in such harmony).
If you choose to understand your own self and see yourself as your inner being sees you, you can see everything as it really is. You will feel the unconditional love you have for yourself and all the things you want and want to be will be obvious to you. The better connected you are to yourself the easier it is for people who come into contact with you to find their own connection and understand themselves. By understanding yourself you are helping people in the only real and lasting way you truly can. You can’t be someone else’s connection or understand them enough to make up for their own disconnect or misunderstanding of their own self. They can not understand you enough to make up for you not being connected to your own self.
The Key Is To Mind Your Own Business
You see, everyone’s job really is to mind their own business. To understand themselves. To connect to who they really are. And by being connected you help others find their own selves. The law of attraction is responsible for bringing people to other people and things that they are a vibrational match to, so you don’t have to do it. By connecting to who you are, you are ensuring that other people and things that are a match to your connected self are what you come in contact with.
Spend less time understanding others and more understanding yourself. Spend more time feeling good and connecting to yourself than trying to connect to another. In an ideal situation, you are connected to you and the people you are in various kinds of relationships with are connected to themselves. Everyone has a really good time this way. But either way, if you are connected to yourself, you won’t care much where others are and whether they understand you or not.
If you have a belief about yourself that feels bad, it is not true and it is not the way your inner self sees you. Most likely you picked it up from someone else who was not connected to their own self at the time or even from your own self during a time of disconnection.
Emotion Is Everything
Pay attention to how you feel. If you think a thought about yourself or someone else and it feels good, its true. If you think a thought about yourself or someone else and it feels bad, it is NOT true. Your emotion is your own guide letting you know how well you are creating the life of your dreams. Choose to feel good. Choose to connect to your own self. Choose to mind your own business. Choose to LIVE YOUR DREAM LIFE.
